Tattooed Event Manager

Ink and Events from 18

I got my first tattoo a month after I turned 18 (you can see it in the picture to the right on my ankle). My affection for my red Japanese-style dragon endures unwaveringly, just as the firm grasp I maintained on my friend's hand during that indelible inking session.

This enduring passion mirrors my journey in the dynamic world of event management. My first event involved orchestrating event administration for a local scout gathering of 3,000 enthusiastic youngsters. Right from day one I was ensnared by the adrenaline that the events industry offers, a feeling that being in the events industry has had on me ever since.

Bringing you key industry insights alongside my knowledge, skills and advice from over 7 years in the events industry

I quit my full-time role as an Events Assistant in 2019 to pursue a degree in Events Management 400 miles away in the big smoke of London. Six months later, Covid-19 hit and I had to repeatedly cancel any experience or internships I got, because of the pandemic. So after my second year at uni, I chose to take a placement year at the heart of the industry, Mash Media. I secured becoming their Marketing Manager before I headed back for my final year.

After over seven years in the industry, three of those being a student, I know exactly how to be the best new kid on the block.
